After seeing rain Wednesday night into Thursday morning, we saw scattered lake-effect rain/snow/sleet on Thanksgiving. As much colder air has moved in, we have changed the precipitation over to all snow shower activity off the lake here on Friday... Drought Conditions Improve Continue to bundle up and watch out for lingering lake effect snow showers tonight, primarily in our far northern communities. A few slick spots are possible, as winds gust up to 25 mph. Eventually though, we'll see snow shower chances end before daybreak Saturday, with temperatures falling all the way down into the mid-teens. Brr! When you factor in the wind, it will feel as cold as the single digits! A subtle wind shift will keep lake effect snow chances away on Saturday, although clouds look to linger on in northern areas. A weather system passing by to our south will also enhance cloud cover by the afternoon. Generally though, you can expect a partly cloudy and cold day, with highs in the upper 20s. With wind gusts up to 25 mph, it will feel as cold as the teens. Stay bundled up for any of our plans, including holiday shopping! It will be another very cold Saturday night, as low temperatures fall into the mid-to-upper teens under mostly cloudy skies. High temperatures will again be in the upper 20s on Sunday, with a slight chance for lake effect snow making a return. We'll see better lake effect snow chances on Monday, as winds become northwesterly. We'll dry out though by Tuesday, as temperatures finally return back up to the freezing mark. Our next more notable weather system will arrive Tuesday night into Wednesday, bringing rain/snow shower chances. Stay tuned for updates, but stay warm for now!
