This year, Amazon is giving buyers tips on how to keep these packages safe this holiday season and protect them from porch thieves. Although the majority of packages make it to homes without issues,but sometimes porch pirates strike. Keep your package safe this holiday with the following tips: Track your packages in real-time Amazon's Map Tracking feature can help keep an eye on upcoming deliveries. Specify a hidden drop-off location Specific instructions can be provided to delivery drivers. Get proof of your packages' arrival with Photo-on-Delivery Select a designated delivery With Prime, individuals can choose a designated day for delivery. Ship to an alternate delivery location Choose between home, work, or a pickup package location. Share tracking details with friends and family Install a home security device A Video doorbell can alert you when a package arrives. Deliver to your garage With Prime, get packages to your garage with Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery. Only available in certain zip codes. Check if there's a delivery window For customers, days from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday are the biggest shopping days of the year. In Colorado Springs, during a typical day, the delivery station on Grinnell Boulevard delivers more than 36,000 packages. On Black Friday, it is expected to double. “Colorado Springs customers love Amazon and we’re excited to deliver holiday cheer during some of these most busy shopping days of the year,” said Ken Brown, senior station manager.
