Mechanical malfunction causes car crash in Ludlow

LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) - Crews were sent to a single-vehicle crash at an intersection in Ludlow early Friday morning.

Chief Daniel Valadas of the Ludlow Police Department told 22News that a car crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of Center and Chmura Street in Ludlow around 5:00 a.m. on Friday.

Three people were inside the car when the car lost its brakes, causing it to crash. The car caught fire, but there were no serious injuries.
The roads are back open and the utility pole is being replaced.
