Several city warming centers have opened Friday morning as colder temperatures begin to grip the area. Anyone looking to stay warm can visit nearly 180 locations, including the city's six warming centers, which open when it drops below 32 degrees, that will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Garfield Community Service Center10 S. Lingering intermittent flurries are expected to taper off Friday afternoon as blustery winds will continue through the day, according to the National Weather Service. The forecast high for Friday is 25 degrees as the wind chill earlier dropped to single digits, according to the NWS.Single digit wind chills continue over the weekend and temperatures will remain chilly into early next week, the service said.
