CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Millions of Americans will kick off their holiday shopping on Friday if they haven't already.
Black Friday shopping begins: What should you buy?
Cyber security experts want to help keep people safe who plan to shop on Black Friday. They recommend only making purchases with credit cards.
A majority of credit cards have a zero-liability policy to protect customers from fraudulent purchases.
They also recommend not connecting to public wifi while making payments to avoid your data from being shared.
Around 36 percent of Americans are expected to shop in stores.
I'm working at Target tomorrow, be nice to the people working we're working really really hard everyone is trying to get the best deal. We are trying just as much as you guys are to help you out," said Shirley Constanino of Springfield.
The National Retail Federation believes more than 183 million Americans will shop in stores or online between Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
