Much cooler weather moving in
Nov 28, 2024
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The cold front has moved south Thursday evening and we will be seeing cooler weather moving in through Friday night. First off expect a few showers tonight into very early Friday morning. The best chance of these will be along and south of I-10.
After that skies will clear quickly on Friday and most of the day will be sunny. It will stay chilly though with breezy conditions and highs only in the upper 50s.
The coldest night of the season so far will likely be Friday night. A freeze watch is in effect for Washington Parish and Pearl River County. We could see a few areas drop to around 31-32 early Saturday. Most of us will see mid 30s north and then upper 30s to low 40s south. Saturday will be sunny with highs around 60.
Expect dry and cool conditions to continue through the weekend. Sunday warms into the low to mid 60s. A weak shot of reinforcing cool air comes in Monday and some areas could approach freezing again Monday night.
