Woman arrested after Millington highway shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A second arrest has been made after a shooting on U.S. Highway 51 in Millington last month.
Jera Skaggs, 37, is charged with aggravated assault and unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon.

On October 26, officers say they responded to 8412 Highway 51 regarding a shots fired call. Two victims told police a woman driving a white Nissan Xterra stopped in front of them and held up a handgun.
Police say a man, later identified as Caleb Pike, was in the passenger seat of the Nissan. When the vehicle drove away, police say Pike started firing shots at the victims.
Spent shell casings were found at the scene.

On November 6, officers say they saw the white Nissan known to belong to Pike parked in a lot along U.S. Highway 51. The vehicle came back registered to Jera Skaggs who police say was found to be Pike's girlfriend.
Skaggs was arrested on unrelated charges. According to a criminal history report, she is a convicted felon for meth possession with intent from 2017 in Tipton County and is on parole.
On November 26, one of the victims was shown a six-person photo line-up and identified Jera Skaggs as the woman who drove the shooting suspect away from the scene back in October.
Skaggs is held in jail on a $10,000 bond. She is set to face a judge on Friday morning.
According to the jail log, Pike was arrested last Wednesday.
