Our staff makes their expert picks for the NFL Week 13 battle between the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving Day. The Detroit Lions (10-1) will take on the Chicago Bears (4-7) in Week 13 on Thanksgiving Day in downtown Detroit. The Lions have not won on Turkey Day since 2016, but they are more concerned with securing a win against a division opponent and keeping things positive heading into a couple of days off with family.
“Well, I think there’s two things,” Lions coach Dan Campbell said of securing a win on Thanksgiving. “Number one, get a W, right? And it’s a division win that’s why this is huge. Number two is because the players are going to get a couple of days off. So, they have family (and) friends in, it’d be nice to feel good about it when you’re with everybody because it’s just not really fun (if you lose). [...] So we all want it. It is long overdue, but we have to win to win.”
