WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) -- Thursday is an important milestone in KSN's history.
On this day 70 years ago, KCKT signed on the air in Great Bend. Central Kansas Television Co., Inc. signed on KGLD in Garden City the following November.
In November 1959, KOMC-TV in Oberlin joined the company. The three stations were branded the"Tri-Circle Network."

In 1962, when the FCC determined Central and Western Kansas were a part of the Wichita market, Central Kansas Television Co. purchased KARD-TV in Wichita.
KARD, of course, eventually became KSNW. KCKT is now KSNC, KOMC's call letters became KSNK, and KGLD is now KSNG.
And the station that started it all, KSKT, is now KSNC.
