PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island DUI Task Force that was deployed from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 3 a.m. Thursday announced 24 alcohol-related arrests. The task force, which is comprised of Rhode Island State Police and local police officers stated that law enforcement throughout the state will continue its efforts throughout the holiday weekend. The 24 arrests mark a downtick from drivers taken into custody the night before Thanksgiving in 2023, which totaled 32. Categories: News, Rhode Island
