PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Happy Thanksgiving! We're starting off the holiday with scattered showers this morning and temperatures in the low-50s. Scattered showers lingering through around 9 AM with decreasing rain chances as we approach noon. Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. there's a low chance to see an isolated strong/severe storm as a cold front moves through the Triad specifically in the southeast part of the region-- Chatham, Randolph and Montgomery counties.  Temperatures reach the low 60s before the cold front moves through, around noon. Once the front is through, winds will pick up with gusts up to 35 mph possible and temperatures will drop into the 50s. Skies will also start to clear into the afternoon with mostly sunny skies by early evening.  We'll start to feel the results of the cold front on Friday morning with temperatures in the low 30s and afternoon temperatures in the low 50s. Skies will be sunny and winds will remain breezy out of the northwest.  Mostly sunny skies this weekend, but temperatures will be COLD. We'll start our mornings in the mid-20s and our afternoons will only reach the mid-40s. Winds will be gusty on Sunday with west winds of 10 to 20 mph and gusts of 30 mph possible.  Monday morning starts off frigid with temperatures in the low 20s but breezy conditions will have it feeling like the 10s. Afternoon highs struggle to reach the low 40s with mostly sunny skies.  Our mornings remain frigid with cold afternoons into Tuesday and Wednesday. Both mornings will be in the low to mid-20s. We'll see mostly sunny skies and afternoon temperatures in the low to mid-40s. Winds will continue to remain a little breezy.
