FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Grandma may think you deserve a Thanksgiving feast handed to you, but the runners of the Galloping Gobbler know they've got to work for their turkey.

According to the race website, the track is a 4-mile race that begins at the Hutzell Athletic Center, located on 1001 Leesburg Rd. Joggers huff and puff down Leesburg Road, run around the perimeter of Lindenwood Cemetery and reverse their steps back to the athletic center.
Real turkeys and the turkey mascot will be at the starting line.
Racers begin their journey at 8:30 a.m. Online registration is closed, however, last-minute sign ups are welcome to register at Hutzell Athletic Center after 7:15 a.m.
