Cool afternoons and cold nights to finish November

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Grab the coat! Temperatures will struggle to warm today in the wake of yesterday's cold front.
Turkey trotters will want to bundle up as morning temperatures hover in the 40s and 50s, feeling even colder with lingering gusty winds. Afternoon highs will only warm to the low 60s today, below normal for this time of year. Mainly to partly cloudy skies, gusty north winds up to 30 mph and dry conditions can be expected areawide this Thanksgiving.

Tonight, we get even colder! Overnight lows will fall to the 30s areawide with a freeze expected in parts of the Hill Country.

A storm system creeping up from south Texas will throw a few scattered showers at us beginning late Monday into Tuesday and Wednesday. At this time, rain generally looks be light without any severe weather threat.
