ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man was killed in a hit-and-run on Gregory Street early Thursday morning.
Rochester police arrived at the scene around 3 a.m. and found the victim lying in the road. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead.
Investigators say the man was struck by a vehicle, but the vehicle did not stay at the scene. Officers have not found it.
The area of Gregory St. between South Avenue and Ashland Street was closed to traffic for an hour. The incident remains under investigation.
