Man steals Fresno church electronics, arrested near courthouse, deputies say

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A man has been arrested after deputies allegedly discovered him with stolen items from a church in Fresno, the Fresno County Sheriff's Office said.
The sheriff's office says deputies assigned to the courts were conducting security foot patrols in Courthouse Park around 7 a.m. Wednesday when they noticed suspicious activity.
Deputies say a man, identified as 38-year-old Guadalupe Corrales of Fresno, was walking near the Superior Courthouse carrying a video camera, laptop, audio interface, headphones and tripod. Upon contacting the suspect, deputies learned he was on probation.
The sheriff's office says further investigation revealed the electronics in his possession were reported stolen from a church located near North Abby Street and East McKenzie Avenue in Fresno. Deputies contacted the Fresno Police Department to work together and returned the items to the church.
