Wanted suspect arrested for fatally shooting man in Prince George's County

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Police in Prince George's County arrested the person they say shot and killed a man on Tuesday night in Laurel.
Shortly after 9 p.m., the Prince George's County Police Department (PGPD) responded to a reported shooting in the 12000 block of Silverbirch Lane. There, they found 58-year-old Jerome Stocks of Laurel suffering from gunshot wounds.
He died at the scene.

PGPD detectives identified 31-year-old Darius Jackson of Oxon Hill as the suspect. He was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree murder less than 24 hours after the shooting.
Police said Jackson shot Stocks over a dispute with his family member.
