MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A partnership between the Madera Police Department and other agencies is giving Madera residents a chance to be the "star of hope" of some children during this holiday season. The Madera Police Department announced Wednesday their partnership with Community Action Partnership of Madera County, Child Protective Services and Community West Bank for a "Star of Hope." They say those who would like to adopt a child to purchase a gift for the holiday can go to Community West Bank at 1919 Howard Rd. or the Madera Police Department at 330 S C. St. to select a "star." All of the children selected are in services with the Community Action Partnership of Madera County and foster care. "Help us spread joy and hope this holiday season to a local Madera child in need," the department's social media post reads. The Madera Police Department's lobby is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the Community West Bank is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, click here.
