Nov 27, 2024
SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- San Francisco Bay Area residents should bundle up before heading outside on Thanksgiving morning.
The National Weather Service issued a Frost Advisory that will remain in effect between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday, as well as 10 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday.
Early morning temperatures will hover near freezing in some inland areas and could drop as low as 30 degrees, forecasters said.
"As a weak low pressure system continues to move out of our area, the arrival of a cooler, drier air mass will result in chilly conditions Wednesday morning and cold conditions Thursday and Friday morning. Widespread near freezing temperatures are expected across the interior Central Coast, interior North Bay mountains and valleys, and portions of the East Bay and South Bay Thursday morning and Friday morning," the NWS wrote.
