SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A 21-year-old Santa Rosa man was charged with two counts of murder following a deadly DUI collision in San Francisco, according to prosecutors. Two women were killed in the crash.
The driver, Jayden Elliot Patrick, is slated to make his first court appearance on the day before Thanksgiving for an arraignment at the San Francisco Hall of Justice. He is charged with murder, reckless driving, and driving under the influence of alcohol.
"This case is a tragic reminder that drinking, driving and speeding are a lethal combination with devastating impacts," District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said.
According to police, on November 25 at 1:20 a.m., two vehicles crashed on Grafton and Jules avenues in the Ingleside District. Patrick was allegedly drunk and speeding leading up to the collision, according to the DA's office.
There were four people inside Patrick's vehicle. Inside the second vehicle, officers found two deceased women inside.
Patrick was arrested by the San Francisco Police Traffic Collision Investigations Unit. Emergency responders rushed three of Patrick's injured passengers to a hospital. One of the passengers suffered life-threatening injuries.
