PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Crews battled a fire on Aleppo Street after officials believe a vehicle hit a pole Wednesday night. First responders told ABC 6 News crews on scene that they believe three teenagers in a pickup truck were running from the cops after they rear-ended a vehicle. The pickup truck then allegedly took a left onto Aleppo Street, and immediately hit a pole, which snapped the pole in half, according to officials. The vehicle then came to a stop in the middle of the street, and the teens fled the scene. When the vehicle hit the pole, officials believe it caused the wires to come down, which led to a small fire at Atlantic Design Works on Aleppo Street. Fire officials said the fire was contained in about 20 minutes. This is a developing story, stay with ABC 6 News for updates.  Categories: News, Providence, Rhode Island
