Nov 27, 2024
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- Starting Dec. 2, crews with Fort Wayne City Utilities will begin work on the Hosey Dam that will lower river levels in the area for roughly one month.
According to City Utilities, the gate at the Hosey Dam will be opened so crews can perform "essential" upkeep on stormwater outfalls. As a result, the river levels will be lowered.
After maintenance and inspections are finished, the gate will be closed so river levels return to normal for recreational use.
