AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man was sentenced to 20 years in state jail after another man was found dead on North Lamar Boulevard, court documents state. Demonte Harris pleaded guilty to murder in the Jan. 5, 2023, death of 20-year-old Fritzgerald Bissereth, documents say. Authorities previously said they responded to a crash near the 8600 block of North Lamar Boulevard and found Bissereth shot and unresponsive in the driver's seat of a vehicle. Harris will receive credit for 506 days of time served, documents state.
