A 27-year-old man died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a pickup in Oceanside early Wednesday, police said. The crash was reported on Douglas Drive near North River Road around 6:35 a.m., police said. The southbound motorcycle impacted the passenger side of a Ford F150 that was turning left into a gas station, Oceanside police Sgt. Clint Bussey said. The rider was taken to Tri-City Medical Center, where he died less than an hour later, Bussey said. His name was not released pending notification of his family. The pickup’s driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers.
