Nov 27, 2024
A multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck and fuel spill closed Interstate 225 northbound Wednesday afternoon.
The crash was reported just after 3 p.m. near the intersection of Interstate 225 and E. Iliff Avenue in Denver. At least three vehicles were involved and a semi-truck was leaking fuel after the crash, CDOT representative Vikas Ahuja said.
He could not say whether anyone was injured or killed in the crash and additional information was not immediately available.
A hazardous materials team was responding to the fuel spill, Ahuja said.
Drivers headed north on Interstate 225 were being detoured on E. Iliff Avenue, Aurora police said. Drivers in the backup can expect delays of more than 30 minutes.
