More than 2,500 SDGE customers lose power in north San Diego

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Over 2,500 San Diego Gas & Electric customers were reported to be without power in north San Diego Wednesday morning due to outages.
The earliest outage was reported at 9:39 a.m. in the communities of Rancho Penasquitos, Rancho Bernardo and San Pasqual, according to SDG&E’s outage map. The estimated restoration time is slated for 4:30 p.m.
As of 3:20 p.m., that outage estimate has decreased to nearly 1,800 customers.

The cause for the outages is a vehicle accident, officials with the electric company noted online.
