SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A suspect with a history of firearm possession was arrested in possession of a loaded ghost gun on Saturday, according to the San Francisco Police Department. Officers with the SFPD Tenderloin Station received notice of the wanted suspect, identified as 36-year-old John Moye.
Moye, officers were advised, was near the 200 block of Hyde Street driving a motorcycle. Police cited an SFPD crime bulletin that detailed Moyes evading capture for two outstanding felony warrants out of country, in addition to firearm possession.
SFPD officers responded to the 200 block of Hyde Street and saw the motorcycle parked next to a vehicle with two subjects, one of which was later confirmed as Moye, sitting in the driver seat.

In approaching the vehicle, officers observed the suspect and items that led them to believe a firearm may have been in the vehicle. Moye was detained along with another man.
A loaded ghost gun was found on Moye's person along with unfired cartridges and firearm accessories. The vehicle, officers said, had been reported as stolen.
Officers developed probable cause to arrest Moye. He was booked into San Francisco County Jail on charges that included:
Carrying a loaded firearm on the person or in vehicle while in public place (four counts)
A person is guilty of carrying concealed firearm (four counts)
Prohibits the possession of ammunition if a convicted felon
False impersonation
Identity theft
Burglary tools
Two active felony warrants
Police said that although an arrest has been made, the investigation remains open and ongoing.
