SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Local officials and residents came together to celebrate the grand opening of the new EMBR cannabis dispensary in Springfield. This is the first dispensary in Springfield that has been fully constructed from the ground up. The team invested more than $2 million into the new facility. Not only will it provide a new park for the community to enjoy, but new jobs and an economic boost to the area. Brian Horrigan, Vice President of Business Development shared with 22News, "We want to give people a good value, the model is proven to work elsewhere now we want to bring it to the state of Massachusetts." The dispensary is located on Boston Road in Springfield. They will be open 7 days a week. The EMBR team will continue the celebrations at Nathan Bill's Bar and Restaurant in East Forest Park.
