CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP)-- While rain and snow are in the forecast for Thursday, below average temperatures look likely to start the month of December. NOAA has released their 8–14 day temperature and precipitation outlooks heading into the month of December. Weather Alert issued for Thanksgiving in western Massachusetts While rain and snow are likely for Thanksgiving the next 8-14 days are forecasted to be drier than average here in the Northeast.       When it comes to temperature, it looks like it will get cold heading into December with below average temperatures in the eastern half of the county and warmer than average in the western half of the county.       Looking ahead to next week, high temperatures in the 30s look likely with overnight temperatures getting down into the teens. The official start to winter is in just 24 days.
