2 men charged in Newport sexual assault

NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) — Police have arrested two men accused of sexually assaulting another man in Newport last week.
Juan Carlos Montepeque-Albizures, 24, and Alvaro Gomez-Alvarez, 33, were taken into custody Wednesday. Both men have been charged with first-degree sexual assault and conspiracy.
Police said the victim, a 27-year-old man, reported that the suspects sexually assaulted him at a residence in Newport on Nov. 18.
Montepeque-Albizures and Gomez-Alvarez are being held without bail at the ACI.
