SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- Turkey Day is almost here. Everyone is invited to the Thanksgiving table at Lucky's on Louise in Sioux Falls. The bar and restaurant will serve up a free Thanksgiving meal on Thursday. Huron’s downtown open to shoppers after construction "We're just really hoping for a big turnout," said Lucky's Downtown General Manager Anna Broesder, who will be working at the event. "The more the merrier," Lucky's on Louise General Manager Bailey Strasburg said. On Thursday morning the kitchen will be busy as staff start cooking up a feast. "A few of us managers are just going to come in really early tomorrow morning and just start getting going on everything," Strasburg said. From stuffing to green beans, people can expect a traditional Turkey Day dinner. "As a team we were like, 'What do you think you would want?' and it's our first year so hopefully we got enough for everyone," Strasburg said. The meal will be served from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Louise location, and anyone is welcome to join. "We just want to really be supporting the community, helping the community out. We know that sometimes on Thanksgiving people either may not have someone to celebrate with or they might not have access to a warm meal, so just something to provide," Broesder said. While the meal is free, both Lucky's locations are accepting donations through December 20th to benefit two organizations. You can visit the Lucky's Facebook pages for details.
