Man arrested in Hammond, accused of internet sex crimes

HAMMOND, La. (WGNO) — A Livingston man was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 26, following an investigation by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
According to the TPSO, the man, identified as 52-year-old Aaron Wayne Sharp, of Springfield, allegedly had illegal sexual conversations, over the course of several days, with what he believed to be a minor. He then reportedly set up a date and time to meet.

Sharp was arrested when he arrived at the meeting location in Hammond, and has been booked on one count each of indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a minor.

Additionally, another suspect from a separate case has had more charged weighed against him following continued investigation and the forensic analysis of his phone.
32-year-old Michael Vicknair, of Gonzales, is now facing 10 counts of pornography involving juveniles and 1 count of sexual abuse of an animal.
