Wisconsin teenager arrested in connection with infant's child abuse injuries

BARABOO, Wis. (WFRV) – A 17-year-old Wisconsin girl was arrested after an 18-month-old child was brought to a hospital with injuries consistent with child abuse.
According to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to SSM St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, after receiving a report of an injured toddler. The child’s injuries were found to be consistent with abuse.

The investigation revealed that the injuries occurred at a motel in the Township of Baraboo. As a result, Izabella Perry, 17, of Baraboo, was taken into custody and booked into the Sauk County Jail.
Perry faces the following charges:
First-Degree Reckless Injury (Felony D)
Child Abuse – Recklessly Cause Great Harm (Felony E)
Bail Jumping (Felony H)

Perry made her initial court appearance on Monday, where a $100,000 cash bond was set. She is scheduled to appear in the Sauk County Courthouse on December 5, 2024, for a preliminary hearing.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released.
