OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) - Students at Oshkosh North and Oshkosh West High Schools embraced the spirit of giving ahead of Thanksgiving by participating in an annual pie-baking event to benefit Father Carr’s Place 2B Life Enrichment Center. In a Facebook post from the Oshkosh Area School District, students from culinary arts classes and volunteers spent two days preparing 430 five-inch pies and 110 nine-inch pies. Packers join forces with Salvation Army to support Red Kettle donations with autograph events These pies were picked up by Father Carr’s staff on Tuesday afternoon and will be included in the nonprofit’s Thanksgiving Day meal program, which provides both delivery and dine-in options for those in need. The tradition, which spans several decades, has been a cherished part of the school’s community outreach for several years, giving students a chance to make a meaningful impact during the holiday season.
