ARENA, Wis. (WFRV) - A 65-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested for his eighth OWI after a serious crash involving a semi-truck on Tuesday night. (Iowa County Sheriff's Office) The Iowa County Sheriff's Office responded to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 14 at County Highway K. Investigators determined that James E. Greely, 65, of Tigerton, was driving north on County Highway K when he failed to yield to a semi-truck driven by William C. Dula, 58, of Cary, Illinois. Residential kitchen fire quickly put out in Appleton, damage estimated at $20,000 Greely was arrested for operating while intoxicated, his eighth offense. Due to his prior convictions, Greely was restricted to a 0.02 prohibited blood alcohol limit. However, his initial breath test reportedly showed a BAC of 0.192—9.6 times the legal limit for him. "As we head into the holiday season, we would like to remind you of the dangers of driving while intoxicated," the Iowa County Sheriff's Office shared on social media. "We are extremely fortunate this crash did not result in multiple fatalities." Greely has not yet been officially charged in the Wisconsin Circuit Court system.
