2 residents, 2 cats displaced after Las Cruces house fire

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — At least two residents and their pets were displaced after a house fire Tuesday, Nov. 26, in Las Cruces, according to the Las Cruces Fire Department.
The Fire Department says at around 4:30 p.m. that Tuesday, firefighters responded to the 3900 block of Crystal Place to reports of a residential structure fire.
First arriving crews found a fire on the back porch that had extended into the attic.
Fire crews were able to control the fire and searched the home within 20 minutes. Crews were able to rescue two cats during the search.
At least two residents were displaced from the home and a firefighter sustained a minor injury, according to the Fire Department.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
