UPDATE: KINGS MOUNTAIN, NC – Four men are behind bars and charged in the death of a Loomis Fargo armored truck driver. Investigators say Richard Walter Henderson IV, of Charlotte, was gunned down on East King Street around 9 a.m on October 30, 2024. Warrants were issued for four suspects: Dominick Anthony Singleton, 38, of Norwood,NC Jamal Delkeis Cunningham, 29, of New London, NC Malek Isaiah Thomas, 28, of Charlotte, NC Damareon Laron Dockery, 20, of West End, NC Police say all four of the men were taken into custody on Wednnesday. Each man is charged with murder and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon. See the previous story below. ORIGINAL ARTICLE (POSTED 10/30/24): KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. – An armored truck driver was shot and killed during a robbery in Kings Mountain Wednesday morning. The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office stated the robbery occurred around 9 a.m. along East King Street, near a Prescriptions Plus Pharmacy. Deputies say the victim was armed and wearing body cam at the time of the robbery. It is unclear weather any money was stolen during the incident. Witnesses say the suspect fled the scene in a black SUV. Deputies are searching for a suspect vehicle and stated that no suspects are in custody at this time. This is a developing story.
