Ascension Parish deputies arrest man after two shot at in Prairieville

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office has made an arrest after two people were shot at in Prairieville on Friday, Nov. 22.
Deputies responded to a shooting on Camden Drive and found two victims had been shot at but were uninjured. APSO said Christopher Hendricks, 32, of Prairieville, was identified as a suspect.
APSO said Hendricks was found at his home on Monday, Nov. 25. According to the sheriff's office, he tried to flee in a vehicle and "side-swiped a marked patrol unit."
After a brief pursuit, he was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail and charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal use of weapons, aggravated criminal damage to property, possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapons by a person convicted of certain felonies, aggravated flight from an officer, reckless operation, aggravated obstruction of a highway of commerce, hit and run, three counts of criminal trespassing and resisting an officer.
