ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A garbage truck worker was injured after getting hit by a car on East Jefferson Road. According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, the truck was facing west on East Jefferson Road when the worker got out to collect a garbage can. While he was returning to the truck, he walked in front of an oncoming car and was struck. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation. His injuries are not life-threatening. Deputies have not revealed if the driver of the vehicle will be charged or not.
