ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Canandaigua residents are invited to take part in the "Name A Snow Plow" contest! Here's how the contest works — the town wants residents to submit catchy names for its snow plows. The winning names will be displayed on one of the plows and the winners will be spotlighted on the town's social media pages. Extra points will be given for Canandaigua-centric names. Rochester’s 2024-2025 Winter Outlook After 15 finalists are decided, it would be next up to the public to vote on the town's Facebook page. The names with the most likes will win. The rules require all names to be under 20 characters long, cannot violate copyright laws, must be clean, and only Canandaigua residents can participate. Names can be submitted through the town's website. The deadline to take part is Monday, December 9.
