On Wednesday at 12:21 p.m. a lake effect snow warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Friday 7 a.m. until Monday 7 p.m. for Oswego County.The weather service adds, "Heavy lake effect snow expected. Multiple feet of snow will be likely through the weekend in the most persistent lake snows. The highest accumulations will be in the vicinity of the Tug Hill plateau. Snowfall rates will likely exceed 2 inches an hour at times."
