SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Highway 204 at Interstate 95 Tuesday night. The current status of the investigation has determined that the vehicle at fault, a 2016 Toyota Sedan, was attempting to turn left onto I-95 Northbound and turned into the path of a 2024 GMC Sierra that was traveling west on GA 204.  Both westbound lanes of Hwy 204 at I-95 are closed due to a fatal traffic accident. Georgia State Patrol is investigating, and there is no timeline on when the road will reopen. The driver at fault was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. This is an ongoing story and WSAV will provide updates as soon as they are made available.
