SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – If you're looking for unique opportunities to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year, here is a list of local light displays you can enjoy from the comfort of your car. Holiday Nights & Lights Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park (40 Harriet Tubman Way, Hilton Head Island) Saturday, Dec. 7, through Monday, Dec. 9 (6 to 8 p.m.) Children and adults alike are welcome to immerse themselves in a dazzling holiday light display. To avoid long waits, it is recommended that you line up on Beach City Road beginning at 5:45 p.m. or at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free but donations are welcome. Holly Jolly Light Tour This won't be from your own vehicle, but you can enjoy a ride on Jekyll's jolliest trolley to see more than a million lights around the island. The whole family can sit back, relax and view the lights of the Historic District. The tours, which run about 45 minutes long, are available on select nights throughout the season. City of Savannah 40-foot holiday tree to be installed, lit Magic of Lights South Georgia State Fairgrounds (105 Fort Argyle Rd., Savannah, Ga.) Friday, Nov. 22 through Saturday, Jan. 4 The Magic of Lights is officially open for the year. The display promises an enchanting evening filled with festive cheer. You can enjoy the lights from the comfort and safety of your own car or purchase tickets for a limo/party bus. Visit magicoflights.com for more information. TMT Farm Christmas 16710 Old River Rd. North, Statesboro, Ga. TMT will open on Wednesday, Nov. 27, for senior citizens, nursing homes, group homes and those with disabilities who can't wait in lines of traffic. The hours will be from dark to 10 p.m. The display will open to the public seven days a week (including Sundays) starting on Thanksgiving night, Nov. 28 and concluding on Saturday, Dec. 28. There is no charge for admission but TMT does accept cash donations, non-perishable food items, new, unwrapped toys and pet food/supplies.
