CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 22-year-old man has been arrested by Chesterfield County Police in relation to a shooting that happened back in November. According to police, they responded to the area of Fordham Road and Gregory Drive at around 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 19 for a report of shots fired followed by a car speeding from the area. While on the way to the scene, officers were informed that blood, shell casings and marijuana had been found in the 9200 block of Chatham Grove Lane. When officers arrived, they found no shooting victim. According to police, officers then learned that a 17-year-old male with "gun pellet wounds" had gone to a local hospital. He had injuries that were considered non-life-threatening and has since been released from the hospital. After an investigation, a suspect was identified as 22-year-old Aiden T. Finnegan of the 5600 block of Stockport Turn. He was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 26 and charged with aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in relation to the shooting. He is currently being held in jail without bond. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chesterfield County Police Department at 804-748-1251.
