WEATHER ALERT: A rainy Thanksgiving is expected with rain slowing down travel through the day along with some gusty winds. Friday morning, black ice is possible as temperatures drop to near freezing. Good afternoon! The morning commute was slick with some black ice, causing numerous issues on the roads. The afternoon will be dry and sunny, but we've got a rainy Thanksgiving ahead of us. TOMORROW Rain. That's it. Rain all day. Rain when the turkeys are going in the oven; rain for the high school football games; rain during Thanksgiving dinner and rain into the evening. That rain could end as a few wet snow flakes in northwest Rhode Island. Winds could gust to 25mph from the northeast through the day.
