VALLEY CITY, ND (KXNET) — One man is in custody after he assaulted a police officer and a North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper. According to the highway patrol, around 6:20 p.m., on November 26, a 48-year-old Valley City man, who had an active felony warrant for Terrorizing, was pulled over in town by a trooper. The trooper and a Valley City police officer who arrived on the scene were removing the man from his vehicle when he resisted. The man assaulted both officers in the struggle before he was finally subdued and arrested. He was taken to the Barnes County Correctional Facility and charged with two counts of assault on a peace officer and resisting arrest. He was also booked on the outstanding felony warrant.
