BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Another Bismarck K9 is getting protective body armor, thanks to the Brady's K9 Fund. The Bismarck Police Department noted on its Facebook page that K9 officer Ember has received a ballistic vest for her protection in the field. Other K9 officers in police departments and sheriff's offices nationwide have also received donated protection vests, including those in the KX News viewing area. Brady’s K9 Fund was founded by an 8-year-old boy who felt K9 officers deserve body armor, just like their human partners. Since 2018, Brady’s Fund has raised over $1.25 million and provided over 1,280 vests to K9s. Close Thanks for signing up! Watch for us in your inbox. Subscribe Now Today's Top Stories SIGN UP NOW
