The dogs were taken to Kern County Animal Services with an urgent need to find an adopter or the dogs would be euthanized due to limited space.
Aqua and and Tim found a new home Tuesday, according to Shelter Director Nick Cullen. He posted the adoption live yesterday on social media.
"Aqua and Tim have been adopted and they're leaving the shelter right now. They are leaving together, they've been adopted together and so we wanted to show you. These dogs have gotten a lot of exposure recently thanks in large part to TV-17 covering this story."

Video from the livestream shows both dogs being loaded into their adopter's truck with their tails wagging in excitement.
It was important to shelter staff that they find a home together because they are bonded, having lived together for 10 years.
