Phoebe Ministries has been named among the best senior communities in Pennsylvania in rankings prepared by Newsweek magazine. Newsweek and Statista have partnered to rank America’s Best Nursing Homes. The top nursing homes were assessed and ranked based on four pillars: performance data, recommendations of medical professionals, accreditations and resident satisfaction. This year’s list recognizes 1,050 nursing homes across 25 states. Split into three groups based on occupancy, in the category of nursing homes with 100-149 beds, Phoebe Berks ranked fifth in Pennsylvania, and Phoebe Richland ranked second in the state. In the category of nursing homes with more than 150 beds, Phoebe Allentown ranked 23rd in the state. Newsweek and Statista also ranked America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) for the first time this year. Phoebe’s CCRCs allow residents to live independently with future access to Phoebe’s full range of health services, including priority admission to a local Phoebe campus. For the first year of rankings by Newsweek, Phoebe Allentown was ranked 179th Best Continuing Care Retirement Community in the country and 17th in the state.
