PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island residents made their way to the airport early Wednesday ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. AAA has predicted nearly 80 million people in the U.S. will venture at least 50 miles starting yesterday, until next Monday. Our ABC6 weather has reported that soaking rain with wind is on its way for Thanksgiving Day. Many experienced major traffic delays in places like Warwick, as the Rhode Island Department of Transportation reported multiple accidents near T.F. Green Airport. However, T.F. Green had no major delays for flights heading out of Rhode Island as of 6:30 a.m. For Logan Airport, according to FlightAware, there were 30 reported delays. A majority of the delays were from JetBlue, as yesterday, a plane from the airline struck a Cape Air flight. A plane also clipped another while leaving the tarmac on Monday. Categories: News
