Rain snow today bringing an arctic blast

A blast of frigid air heads our way over the next 36 hours, with rain and snow moving through part of the area tonight. Temperatures will plunge into the 20s Thursday night and stay in the deep freeze until early next week.
Temperatures will be in the upper 40s this afternoon
Cloudy skies this morning and you'll need your jacket and sweatshirt with temperatures just getting into the lower 40s by lunchtime.
We'll see a high in the upper 40s this afternoon as we experience the warmer side of the weather system.
Rain possibly mixing snow will be more likely south of Fort Wayne tonight
Rain mixing with snow is possible especially in areas south of Fort Wayne this evening with a few flurries possible overnight.
A few light rain or snow showers are possible during the Night of Lights
It should be an easy drive to Thanksgiving destination with afternoon temperatures topping in the upper 40s.
Bitterly cold air moves in Thursday night with low temperatures diving into the lower 20s.
It won't get much warmer during the day Friday with temperatures staying below freezing.
It gets even colder Friday night with our first night of the season in the teens.
Highs will stay in the upper 20s through the weekend as we begin December on Sunday.
Our first day above freezing won't happen until late next week.
